BMW R1200GSA Adventure Ride: Conquering a Mountain on the Alberta–British Columbia Border
In June, I set out on a truly unforgettable journey—riding my BMW R1200GSA to the top of a rugged mountain peak on the border between Alberta and British Columbia. What started as a simple ride quickly evolved into a full-blown adventure that pushed both man and machine to the limit.
The off-road trail leading up the mountain climbs steeply, winding through remote terrain and breathtaking wilderness. As we approached the final stretch, the path turned into a rocky, technical challenge with loose gravel, sharp inclines, and no room for error. However, with determination—and a little throttle control—we pushed forward.
I wasn’t alone on this ride. My friend Vico joined the challenge, and together, we navigated one of the most demanding off-road motorcycle routes in Western Canada. What was supposed to be a one-day ride turned into an epic memory we’ll never forget.
